I do suggest you treat your Swagbucks like you would your budget, make the most of every buck and spend them wisely!  With that said, I asked Mr. Frugal to help me figure out just which deals (out of my top 5 favorites) had the best bang for their buck.  Basically, what should I save up for first and in what order should I buy them?

He came up with the following chart…

$5 credit 450 Swagbucks $1 value = 90 swagbucks
$20 Gift Card 2350 Swagbucks $1 value = 117.5 Swagbucks
$50 credit 5900 Swagbucks $1 value = 118 Swagbucks
$10 Starbucks Gift Card 1300 Swagbucks $1 value = 130 Swagbucks
$5 Paypal credit 700 Swagbucks $1 value = 140 Swagbucks

Do you have goals for your Swagbucks?  I had a goal and achieved it, LOVING my iPhone!  Now we’ve starting cashing out for Amazon gift cards, buying the $5 ones first (you can only buy 5 of each reward per month), then moving down the list we’ve purchased this year’s homeschool curriculum and plan to do some of our Christmas shopping between Amazon and Group Buying this year.

I love Swagbucks too! I’ve just been doing the $5 Amazon gift cards (I think I only maxed out on them one month so far) and that is how we are going to do as much of our Christmas shopping as possible. I’d love to treat myself with a Starbucks gift card once in a while but they are so much more expensive!

I joined Swagbucks a couple months ago, and I have yet to see how Friday is different from any other day. I still win only 6 – 12 swagbucks during my searches, which is on par with the other days. Am I doing something wrong? Would sure love to win a bigger denomination!

I am saving up Amazon gift cards for a Wii from Amazon. I’m about 3/4ths of the way there and getting really excited. Then I’ll need to work on saving up for the WiiFit.

I wanted to point out that you can purchase a $25.00 target gift card on Amazon for 25 plus 1.95 shipping. i only point this out because $25 to amazon would cost 2250 swagbuck points if you purchased 5 amazon gift cards with your swagbucks. so you would use 100 fewer swagbucks and get a net after shipping of 3.05 more by purchasing the target gift card through amazon. I have not done this yet myself, but I think the theory works.

I love Swagbucks too. I’ve been doing it for a couple of months and set my goal on the Microsoft Zune HD since I’ve never had an MP3 player and would NEVER spend the money on one. I’ve saved up enough to get the Zune on Amazon and a new GPS for my husband too! The points don’t come that easily, but it’s free and you can get awesome stuff!

Thank you for this! I have been meaning to sit down and figure out if it is better to cash in for the $5 Amazon cards or save up for a bigger denomination- I am surprised that it’s actually a BETTER deal to get the $5 ones!! So I think I’ll cash out a few of those to use toward school books or Christmas presents!

I am still sorta lost about how you earn credit when you do you purchases… if you could break id down for me let me know. How do they know that you bought it through swagbucks.

Love the chart! Thanks for the visual, makes it much easier to see the difference between each option. I’m going for Amazon rewards most of the time and have managed to make 90% of my Amazon purchases this year entirely thru my Swagbucks winnings and other sites I use to earn Amazon money. I sometimes cash SB’s in for Paypal deposits if I’ve already reached the 5 gift card maximum for the month. Swagbucks just keeps getting better by adding new ways to earn the SB’s. Have you watched any of the new videos they are now offering?

I’m with Katie ~~ lost on a couple of things. To be specific, I have 1,677 swagbucks sitting in a green box at the top of the page, but don’t know what to do next. How do I turn that into a gift card? And then what?
    Thanks for this help!

Never mind ~ I finally found it. (No thanks to Swagbucks Help :P)
I kept looking at the sidebar menu.
So for anyone else who is looking:
TOP OF PAGE in blue bar ~ “Rewards” /”Rewards Store” — THAT is where you find the gift cards to purchase! Thanks!!

Sorry to keep posting on your blog. I don’t mind if you take the three of these comments and roll them into one that makes sense and would be helpful. You don’t have to post them at all, of course!! It’s your blog.

But I remembered one more important thing my girls taught me when they started me on Swagbucks. IT’S NOT an immediate reward! So don’t think you can wait until you want to make an Amazon purchase to buy your Amazon card. I guess it takes a few days.

AND this time when I redeemed my points for an Amazon card, it made me to some
account verification thing… Since I don’t “text”, I have to wait for a postcard in the mail for a PIN #… 😛
Oh, well, it’s worth the wait!

Glad you got things figured out! And yes, it’s best to plan ahead to cash in your rewards because it will take a couple of days to get them. Enjoy your gift card ! :)
